Shipping & Delivery Policy
Maatru Rasah® ships handmade achaar, spices, and sweets across India. Every order is packed by hand at our kitchen and leaves only after my mother signs off on it.
How long before your order ships
Spices ship within 24 hours. Achaar takes 2 to 3 days. Fresh sweets made to order take 3 days. The timeline depends on what you ordered, because we make and store each product differently.
Spices
Lakadong turmeric, Ing Makhir ginger: We keep spices in stock. Your order is packed and handed to Shiprocket within 24 hours of confirmation.
Achaar
Our achaar finishes curing in barni's — large traditional clay jars where the flavours settle after the initial cooking. When your order arrives, we open the barni, pack what you ordered, seal it, and hand it to Shiprocket in 2 to 3 days.
Fresh sweets
Sithora Laddu and select seasonal items: Some sweets are made after your order arrives. They need 3 days at our end before they reach Shiprocket — fresh sweets have to cool and be packed carefully enough to survive the journey. Sweets that are already made ship within 24 hours. The product page tells you which is which.
Orders with multiple products
We dispatch in one parcel, not separately. If your order includes a spice and a fresh sweet, it ships when both are ready. Need them sent on different timelines? Write to us before placing the order.
How long delivery takes
Once Shiprocket has your parcel, delivery to most Indian addresses takes 3 to 7 working days. Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata typically arrive in 3 to 5 days. Smaller cities and towns take 5 to 7. Remote pin codes take longer.
During Diwali, Holi, and the heavy monsoon months, couriers run behind. Add 2 to 3 days to any estimate during those weeks. That is on the courier's side, not ours.
Tracking your order
You get a Shiprocket tracking link on email and WhatsApp as soon as your order leaves our kitchen. If 4 days have passed since you placed your order and there is no tracking update, write to care@maatrurasah.com or WhatsApp +91 9211968777.
Shipping Charges
Orders above ₹999 receive Free Delivery across India. For orders below ₹999, a flat nominal shipping fee is calculated directly at the checkout screen based on weight and location.
When a product is sold out
We make 300 to 500 jars a month, total, across every product. That cap does not move. When something runs out, the next batch is 4 to 8 weeks away.
The most common case is Aam Ka Achaar — mango pickle is made once a year during the mango season. It is not available outside that window. We do not make it out of season, and we will not ship a jar that is not from the current batch.
Subscribe to our batch announcement list if a sold-out product is what you are waiting for. One email per month, sent the day a new batch ships. Nothing else.
Do we ship outside India?
Not yet. We are still looking for a courier that we trust to keep achaar in the same condition it leaves our kitchen. Until we find one, we would rather not ship abroad than ship and apologise later. If you have a delivery address in India, order normally. If you are an NRI with a delivery address in India, that works the same way.
Pickup from our kitchen
If you are near our kitchen and want to collect in person, write to care@maatrurasah.com or WhatsApp +91 9211968777. We will work out a time. We do not have a walk-in counter.
Wrong address or failed delivery
Double-check your delivery address and phone number before placing your order. If a delivery fails because the address was incorrect or no one was available to receive it, re-delivery charges apply.
If the courier marks a delivery as complete but you have not received it, write to us within 24 hours with your order number. We will take it up with Shiprocket.
Damaged in transit
If your order arrives damaged — broken jar, leaked contents, crushed outer packaging — notify us within 24 hours of delivery. Send a photo of the damaged product and a photo of the outer packaging to care@maatrurasah.com or WhatsApp +91 9211968777. We will arrange a replacement or a full refund and cover the return shipping cost.

If you have a question before you order — whether something is back in stock, which product ships fastest, anything at all — write first. We answer most of these emails ourself. The rest go to our small team. We reply within 48 hours.
